The location of the "Casa de las Palmeras" holiday complex in El Paso was ideal in terms of the island as a whole. From here, all destinations on the island are relatively easy to reach. Although the east side is greener, the more touristically interesting side is the west side – and that includes El Paso. Swimming beaches with beach restaurants, the worthwhile farmers’ market every Saturday in Puntagorda, the more beautiful and largest town of Los Llanos de Aridane, and access to Caldera de Taburiente National Park and even the highest mountain, Roque de los Muchachos – all of these can be reached faster and more easily from the west side, especially from El Paso. So the Casa de las Palmeras complex is an ideal base! The hillside location of the property is very well chosen; especially from the chalets, there is a wide view over El Paso and all the way to the sea. There was nothing to fault about the furnishings of the chalet we stayed in, House No. 2. We only prepared breakfast there; cooking is not really worth it, because the options in the many beach restaurants are simply too good in terms of quality, selection, and prices, and the beachfront location is incomparably more beautiful. Of course, this assumes you have a car. You cannot experience evenings and a night’s rest more quietly, romantically, or undisturbed than here up on the hill. The welcome and care from the hosts were warm and attentive – everything was perfect!!
